What we do
Founded in 2002, Automated Positioning Systems (APS) develops and supplies machine management systems for mobile equipment used in the mining, earthmoving and land rehabilitation sectors. Experience shows that the correct application of machine guidance, Condition monitoring and fleet management technologies can bring dramatic productivity and cost benefits to operators in these areas. APS is at the forefront of the application of GNSS spatial information to the management of mobile plant and equipment for almost every type of equipment found on mine sites today.

Accuracy
For earthmoving equipment our solutions can determine the position of the cutting edge such as the bucket teeth of an excavator or the blade of a dozer within just a few centimetres. This information is displayed to the operator in real time on a touch screen computer and has proven to significantly improve productivity, efficiency and site safety.
Safety
Knowing where structures, equipment and personnel are in a 3D digital world offers a range of opportunities to improve site safety around mobile equipment. All APS systems feature sophisticated GNSS enabled Fixed Hazard Collision Avoidance (FHCA) and passive Proximity warning capabilities that can be augmented with a range of options to create tailored solutions for customers.

Our products are all built on open, flexible standards to ensure rapid adoption of new technologies as they evolve; and the ability to work with any existing or legacy systems.
